從查理週報受襲看捍衛言論自由

其實查理週報對伊斯蘭教的嘲諷侮辱毫不留情[1],刻毒而涼薄,卻少有責備查理週報咎由自取。各地人民,傳媒,國家元首,宗教人士,包括穆斯林,都齊聲譴責恐怖襲擊。阿拉伯文的政治卡通專欄 [2] 亦聲援查理週報。新華網不諱言︰「殊不知,世界是多元的,新闻自由应该是有限度的。[3] 」

但這是法國,花上百餘年、無數人的鮮血為自由及人權抗爭的法國,高舉言論自由的法國。

本身是穆斯林的警察Ahmed Merabet,在行動中被兇徒行刑般近距離擊斃 [4]。除了JeSuisCharlie (我是查理) 外,也有不少人高舉 JeSuisAhmed (我是Ahmed) 的標語,向他致敬,他為了捍衛對方嘲諷自己宗教的權利而死。

如同伏爾泰名句︰「我不同意你的觀點,但是我誓死捍衛你說話的權利。[5]」又或者 John Stuart Mill 於 On Liberty 一書所指 “however immoral it may be considered”。縱使是不同意、反感,甚至是被認為不道德的言論,也照樣捍衛。

我們呢?我們又是否願意捍衛任何人的言論自由?不論他是長毛周永康吳康文羅范椒芬黃之鋒湯家驊葉劉淑儀葉寶琳陳雲余若薇黃浩銘周融袁國強梁振英…

地球另一邊某和諧小島,壹傳媒總部及前主席寓所被投燃燒彈。[6]

但見立法會議員葉劉淑儀 [7] 及葉國謙 [8] 卻立即質疑與新聞自由有關。

葉生葉太,言論自由就是人民可自由表達立場,新聞自由就是報館可出版不同意見的報紙。

非常反感,但若一天他倆被禁言,也要捍衛他們。
